Students of St. Matthias School are not required to be parishioners of St. Matthias Church. We deeply value the various cultures, faiths, and family backgrounds that our students bring to our school. Our school offers a top-notch education in a Catholic setting that is made much richer and more authentic by welcoming students from a wide variety of backgrounds.
St. Matthias School is also committed to helping families of varying financial circumstances afford our tuition. If you are interested in applying for financial aid, please contact our Office Manager, Lee Valdez, at 773.784.0999.

KINDERGARTEN – 5TH GRADE
Kindergarten students must be 5 years old on or before September 1 of the year they enter school. If your child has completed preschool but does not meet the September 1 cut off date, please contact Carmen at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss our early acceptance policy.
Students may register throughout the year, space permitting. If your child will be transferring into our school during the school year, a shadow day is highly recommended. Once your family has toured the school, you may arrange for a shadow day to give your child an opportunity to experience a day as a St. Matthias student before his or her first day of school.
INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE PROGRAMME: 6TH-8TH GRADE
St. Matthias School welcomes the chance to meet with incoming middle school families to determine if our IB Programme is right for your student, and how we can best assist your student once he or she transfers. Students wishing to transfer into our IB Programme may need to provide writing samples, have a personal interview with our IBMYP leadership team or other school personnel, come for a shadow day, or meet other qualifications as determined by our leadership team.
